Our beautiful grounds are available for special occasions of all types.  We can provide the perfect setting for corporate picnics, receptions, reunions, art shows, animal shows, jousting, meetings, training sessions, scout activities, reenactments, plays, music fairs  and just about any activity that requires large open areas. 

Locust Grove sits on the Mattaponi River a quarter mile off the road.  This allows you to host a private and secure function.  Activities can be set up beside the beautifully landscaped historic home.  The surrounding trees and flowers make it a delightful setting overlooking the Mattaponi River.  There are vast open fields and wooded sections that have been cleared for camping.  We can accommodate hundreds of people with parking for all.

Locust Grove Farm is a perfect setting for not only small intimate weddings, but also large, over the top, invite every relative and friend in the world weddings.  The setting for weddings is beautiful and picturesque. As you say your wedding vows, the Mattaponi River makes a very tranquil scene as well as photographs with a lovely background that you will treasure for a lifetime.

Wedding parties are invited inside the house to dress and prepare for their big day. We do ask that ONLY the wedding party enter the house. (This is a private home)
